Please attend a very special program with Br. Mohammed Baajour on Friday May 08 after salat al Maghrib. He will talk about "10 masterpieces from the teachings of Syedna Eesa Alaihis salam". Br. Baajour has very actively served the Muslim community of Long Island, NY and has moved to Dallas Texas where he is Director of programs at East Plano Islamic Center. Dinner will be served at the end of Program.

CLEAR which stands for Creating Law enforcement Accountability & Responsibility will give an orientation program to the Muslim community of MDQ on their legal rights in the wake of hate mongering that targets our communities and provocation by some elements of law enforcement community. This program will be held on Friday, April 03 after salat al Maghrib at 7 pm insha Allah. Refreshments will be served.

MDQ DELEGATION VISITS BEREAVED FAMILY IN NORTH CAROLINA

A delegation of MDQ led by Br. Malik Deib visited the bereaved family of three Muslim students; Deah Barakat, his wife Youser and her sister Razan who were the victims of Chapel Hill shooting. The delegation of the MDQ included three other youth leaders; Mohammad el Kelani, Amin al Shawa and Ahmad Deib who drove from Bay shore to Raleigh. The delegation expressed solidarity with the family of shuhada. The delegation gave checks of donations for the charities the victims had devoted their lives for. Checks from Islamic Center of Long Island, Westbury (ICLI) and Selden Masjid were also handed over to Barakat family.

KILLING OF MUSLIM STUDENTS AT UNC CONDEMNED

The Masjid Darul Quran Bay shore offers condolences to the families and loved ones of the shooting victims who were senselessly killed near the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill campus.

According to media reports, three American Muslim college students: Deah Shaddy Barakat , a graduate student at UNC-Chapel Hill, his wife Yusor Abu-Salha, and her sister, Razan Abu-Salha, were all found death in a condo near the campus yesterday evening. Craig Stephen Hicks, who self identifies as an "anti-theist," surrendered to police and has been charged with first-degree murder.
Br. Riad Khawam, President MDQ, Imam Muhammad Abdul Jabbar and Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman, Member BOAT of the Masjid have strongly condemned this incident and expressed condolences to the bereaved families. A special dua session was held at the MDQ today for the late students.
Meanwhile, Mr. Steven Bellone, Suffolk County Executive has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of this shocking incident. He informed that the Suffolk County Police Department will reach out to members of the Muslim community to reassure them that the safety of all its residents continues to be our highest priority.
