Muslims for Humanity - Haiti Relief

All the Muslim Communities of United States of America are devastated by the earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which took hundreds and thousands of lives; nearly three million people are affected by this earthquake. I, on behalf of the entire Muslim Community of Masjid Darul Qur’an, Bay Shore extend my heartfelt condolences to Haitian community here in USA and also those who are suffering on the Island. We also pray that May God give patience and courage to all those who have lost their loved one and May God show His eternal Mercy to all the survivors and show them His eternal Light with which they can rebuild their nation, Amen.

Our faith demands us to help every human being specially those who are in suffering and are in dire need of help due to any calamity. Port-au- Prince earthquake has brought an unprecedented scale of disaster on the top of already poverty stricken nation; they are in dire need of food, water, medical supplies, shelter and all other basic needs of life.

So I announce to reserve a dedicated collection box in the mosque and appeal to every member of this community specially the Muslim Community of this Center to donate generously for this cause. You can put your cash in this box or send your checks to “Masjid Darul Qur’an” saying “Haiti Fund” in the memo. All collected funds will be sent to Haiti through reputable Islamic charity organizations those are already in Haiti and have started the help work.

Thank you and Jazak’Allah
